2018 NHL Stanley Cup Playoff Preview Round 2 -

Nashville Predators VS Winnipeg Jets

This is set to be one of the most exciting series in the 2018 NHL Playoffs, as the top 2 regular season teams are set to face-off. If things were set up differently this could have easily been the Western Conference Series or perhaps even the Stanley Cup Final showdown, that happens in a universe where the geography is different.

Nashville bring's a weapon to the table in their significant depth. In a tough first round series against the Avalanche, the Preds 3rd line went on to be within the top 6 scorers on the team. Making up for a lack of production from the teams starting forwards, which are poised to return to pace within this 2nd series.

Beyond the shakiness at forward, Nashville undoubtedly has one of the best defenses in the league, with only 211 goals against in the regular season, good enough to put them 2nd in the league.

On the other-hand, the Jets forwards pose a problem for the Predators as the fast and physical crew, were able to score 277 goals in the regular season. Good enough to put them in 2nd place in the league.

They will have to rely on defenseman "Big Buff" however, who has played amazing hockey so far in this post-season. He is a physical threat that can match-skill with the Predators best. He can do a lot of damage and can be a mold that shapes this series for both teams.

Lastly, our goalies must be brought up. It's going to be a battle between two of the leagues best, where you think Nashville's Pekka Rinne would have the advantage as one of the favorites to be the Vezina Trophy winner.

Winnpeg's Connor Hellybuyck has been amazing in net, as he shutout the Wild in games 4 and 5 and being a finalist for the Vezina as well.

If both goalies maintain their same level of consistency, this truly will look like a Stanley Cup Playoff Series as both teams will fight until a weakness is exposed and capitalized on. Definitely a series to tune in to.
