2018 NHL Stanley Cup Playoff Preview Round 2 -
Regular Season Series ( 3-0-1 Vegas)
Whether it's Thornton and Marleau or Pavelski and Burns, it seems like the Sharks always find a way to attract and develop star-power. They have been so consistently good for so long, but have never really managed to break through to become a Stanley Cup championship calibre team .
If recent winners of the Stanley Cup have shown us anything, it's that having superstars is an essential to winning a championship.
Las Vegas has defied all expectation all season long, not only were they able to bring another hockey team to the desert, but that hockey team has been one of the best teams in the league during their inaugural season. Their quick success has even brought a lot of speculation on whether they need to change the expansion draft process.
Considering the last two expansion teams (Wild and Blue Jackets) had quite a few years of rebuilding before they had any playoff success.
Not only did the Knights finish their inaugural season as a top 5 time in the league but at many points they were the best team overall. They also put in work on the Sharks over the course of the season, winning 3 of 4 contests, in addition to a close loss in OT.
With the Sharks superstars and the Knights depth of well-rounded and skilled players, this series may just come down to Goalie Vs. Goalie. The Knights Marc-Andre Fleury and the Sharks Martin Jones we're both brick walls in round 1 of the playoffs, having the first and second best save percentages.
Jones always turns it up a notch come playoff time. He is the 3rd ranked playoff goalie in NHL history within goalies who've played a minimum of 25 games.
That said Vegas has there own not so secret weapon in Marc-Andre Fleury who with 3 Stanley Cup rings on his resume is going to make scoring a serious problem for Vegas. With two goalies this good squaring off, only time will tell which will take their team further.
Nashville Predators Vs. Winnipeg Jets
It will be Smashville Vs The Winnipeg White Out in what could be the biggest series the NHL has ever seen to date. The Jets and their loyal will do everything they can to paint Nashville in a sea of white. But with the slick hands of Filip Forseberg and the free skating D of the Predators anchored by P.K. Subban will it be enough? Get the full preview here!

Tampa Bay Lightning Vs. Boston Bruins
Two teams of the most experienced teams in the NHL are headed towards a showdown as the Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Boston Bruins. It will be depth vs defense as gritty hard hitting veterans like Zdeno Chara And Brad Marchand face off against the like of Steve Stamkos and Nikita Kucherovs high scoring offence.
