What does the most dominant and prolific champion in boxing history do when facing arguably one of the most devastating and aggressive south paws in all of combative sports?
You seek out a bigger, faster, more aggressive, south paw then your actual opponent is capable of defeating . Enter Cody " The Crippler" Crowley, Undefeated Canadian Super Welterweight Champion and Floyd Mayweather Jr's secret weapon. At 5`10 and 165 pounds, Cody has amassed a record of 12 consecutive wins with 6 of those wins coming by way of knockout. A south paw with a history of ruthless aggression from the opening bell, Cody has carved a swath through the Canadian welterweight ranks over the past several years.
A gutsy boxer brawler Crowley has made the move from his long term home in Peterborough Ontario. Relocating his training camp from Ontario to the Legendary Johnny Tocco's boxing gym in Las Vegas Nevada in preparation for his Septemeber 28th title defence against Richard Holmes. If that wasn't enough pressure for the 24 year old he has also been pulling double duty, on call 24 hours a day as Floyd Mayweather Jr's sparring partner in preparation for his Mega-fight with Connor McGregor.
With similar size, reach, and an aggressive south paw stance Cody presented Mayweather with a more polished, more aggressive, younger version of a fighter then he faced on August 26th in Las Vegas when he defeated Connor McGregor by Tko in the tenth round. By the way did I mention he's only 24!
Crowley will be defending his Canadian Super Welterweight title on September 28th at the Peterborough Memorial arena. Follow all the coverage here with Goodfreemen.com
